The Venetian Rowing Camp (€420/week) is a five-day immersive experience for children aged 6–13, offering more than just a sports program — it’s an introduction to the rich maritime traditions of Venice. Participants learn Voga alla Veneta, the traditional Venetian rowing style, navigating wooden boats under the guidance of experienced local instructors. This hands-on experience develops coordination, teamwork, and respect for centuries-old local techniques, allowing children to connect deeply with Venetian culture and history.
Campers also experience a strong connection with nature, exploring the lagoon and its islands, including Sant’Erasmo, the “Doges’ Vegetable Garden.” Through educational workshops and guided activities, they learn about the local flora, fauna, and the fragile ecosystems of the barene (mudflats and salt marshes), fostering environmental awareness and responsibility.
The program combines active sports, cultural learning, and playful adventure. In addition to rowing, children enjoy kayaking, dragon boating, team games, and creative workshops that encourage problem-solving, cooperation, and social skills. Optional overnight stays on a Venetian island (Wednesday–Thursday) provide a deeper immersion into lagoon life and local traditions.
The week culminates in a memorable rowing adventure along the Grand Canal, reaching the Rialto Bridge, followed by a guided walk through Venice’s historic city center. All participants receive a Venetian Rowing Camp kit including a cap, T-shirt, and backpack, ensuring a complete and lasting memory of a week spent immersed in Venetian tradition, teamwork, and the beauty of nature.
